The Alzheimer’s Association Oregon Chapter is seeking a volunteer to assist our development department with reaching out to potential team captains and individual participants for our annual summer solstice fundraiser, The Longest Day. On June 21, 2017, people across the world will join the Alzheimer’s Association to do an activity they love - or an activity loved by those affected - to help end Alzheimer’s. Funds raised support the research, care and support, and education efforts of the Alzheimer's Association.
Responsibilities:
become knowledgeable about the Alzheimer's Association and The Longest Day
call and email individuals, businesses and organizations already identified on a leads list
research, call and email new leads
track all calls and emails with Google sheets
follow up with leads
assist individuals with Longest Day registration and issues related to their personal fundraising page
Skills and Qualifications:
basic computer and office skills
ability to conduct internet research
no hesitations about cold-calling prospects
ability to convey the mission and values of the Alzheimer’s Association in a professional, positive and compelling manner

The Alzheimer’s Association Oregon & SW Washington Chapter is part of the Alzheimer’s Association, the world's leading voluntary health organization in Alzheimer's care, support and research. From its offices in Portland, Bend and Medford, the Oregon Chapter provides education and support for people diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease, as well as their families and caregivers. In addition, it offers local support groups, early-stage engagement programs, community education classes and a 24/7 Helpline (800-272-3900).
