Fidelis Hospice volunteers provide much needed companionship and caring to patients and their families dealing with a life-limiting illness. Our volunteers play cards, talk with, listen to music, watch TV or maybe just sit quietly with our patients so that they know that someone cares and that they aren't alone. Fidelis Hospice also truly needs volunteers to sit vigil, no one should have to die alone.
We are looking for volunteers in and around Buzzards Bay to volunteer with patients living in your community. We provide a free comprehensive training program, and on-going support. Our mission is to insure that both you and our patients have a meaningful experience.

Description
At Fidelis Hospice, our primary goals are to provide comfort and promote the dignity of the terminally ill while relieving physical, emotional and spiritual suffering. Our care is provided in the home, nursing home, assisted living facility or wherever our patients call home. We offer an holistic approach to care provided by a dedicated team of caring professionals led by a physician which includes a nurse, social worker, chaplain, hospice aide and volunteer!
