Cedar Valley Habitat for Humanity is looking for dedicated individuals to fill the role of Fmaily Support Partner. Family Support Partners will meet with a Habitat for Humanity partner family at least twice a month and assist them in ther transition to homeownership. This includes checking in to ensure they are taking the necessary steps to complete our program, ensuring that the partner family understands what is required of them, building a relationship with members of that familiy, and attending significant events (groundbreaking, dedication, etc.). Family Support Partners will work closely with our Family Services Coordinator, Esthella Kamara, and have support in their role from her, other CVHFH staff, and the Family Services Committee.
Family Support Partenrs will be expected to:
-Meet at least twice a month with their partner family/families (flexible)
-Attend special events with their partner family
-Attend monthly Family Support Committee meetings

Habitat is a helping hand, not a hand out. Cedar Valley Habitat for Humanity is able to build decent, affordable housing in our area by using volunteer labor & donations of money and materials. When completed, a new unit is sold at no profit and no interest to a family whose low annual income excludes them from conventional financing. Principle payments are used to support more building and more families.
