ORGANIZATION: Centro Hispano De East Tennessee

Learning English is crucial to immigrants. We need teachers to teach ESL classes to Hispanic adults. You'll be teaching students who are motivated to learn; they work and attend classes. Materials and training are provided.

Class Times will be Monday - Thrusday, 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Volunteers can teach one to three classes per week.

Ability to speak Spanish is helpful, but not necessary.

There is a large population of Hispanics in the Knoxville area that has numerous needs that often go unseen and unmet. Our main goal is to help our Latino neighbors to improve their quality of life and become better citizens through education and information services. Last year, we served hundreds of individuals and families.
