Utah Mentoring Service's mission is to mentor low income people. Mentoring them through life challenge's and life's transitions. We coach people on how to improve their financial and employment situations. We strive to ensure people leave our coaching sessions with the skills needed to maintain what they've learned long-term. We help people in creating a strategy that can be followed to success. The position is a volunteer opportunity with a 1 to 3 hours per week commitment.
Helping low income people by:

  • Help create and implement development of UMS policy and procedure
  • Manage weekly operations of multiple mentors and mentees
  • Report frequently to the President and attend board meetings
  • Collaborate with board on policy and general direction of UMS
  • Help set and execute objectives for the company


  • Motivate staff in efforts to maintain and achieve objectives
  • Recognize and award achievements


  • Passion for charitable work and connecting with the community and people in need
  • Innovative and forward thinking
  • Operationally minded with a proven track record of reaching staffing and departmental goals
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and oversee their successful completion

Requirements & Commitment

  • Must be at least 21
  • Orientation or Training
  • 1 to 3 hours per week.
  • 12 month time commitment. Flexibility is important.
