During these uncertain times, how can we help?
See below to access our COVID-19 Resource Hub, and to explore our growing directory of COVID-19-specific and virtual volunteering opportunities.
Volunteers are needed to greet and assist low-income families in preparing their tax returns to be filed for the 2020 tax year. PATH serves as a site for the IRS VITA program. VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) is staffed with PATH employees and volunteers that are IRS certified. We provide all the training and it is easier than you may think.
There are two volunteer opportunities.
1. Greeter - Greet and help check the clients.
2. Tax-Preparer - Help them file their taxes at our site.

PATH seeks to restore HOPE with a PERSONALIZED approach to EMPOWER our East Texas neighbors to THRIVE in our community.
PATH's programs address the multiple factors affecting low income families that keep them in poverty, place them at risk of becoming homeless or in need of crisis intervention services, and limit the potential of children and adults to live stable, secure and prosperous lives.
Since 1984, PATH has served Smith County and the outlying counties with a small, diverse staff and a large base of supporters. Approximately 800 volunteers serve across PATH’s programs, addressing both emergency assistance and programs that empower and encourage self-sufficiency. The PATH staff and volunteers touch thousands of lives each month with a unique approach to serving. Every individual/family coming to PATH meets with a Caseworker every time they step through the doors of PATH. The Caseworker spends time with each client in order to:402 W Front St.Tyler, TX 75702
