Mission Statement

Hero Spark is a nerd nonprofit that teaches youth ages 11-17 how to learn through games and gaming. We seek to help students have an understanding heart, so they can foster and build successful relationships, and grow as an individual.

Description

Hero Spark aims to serve disenfranchised youth, aged 11-17, in Orange and Seminole Counties. These are students who are struggling academically, socially, or behaviorally. With the ever-present specter of bullying, standardized tests, peer-pressure, and general anxiety that schools can bring, Hero Spark is needed more now than ever. Using strategic card, and board games, and creative role-playing games, infused with an academic and social/emotional curriculum, Game Changer seeks to help our students grow and learn, without the pressures of a school setting.
