Bridging AZ www.bridgingaz.org is an award winning grassroots nonprofit. Bridging AZ is Arizona's first and largest Furniture Bank and we provide basic furniture to people in need through a network of social service agencies. Since 2004 Bridging AZ has distributed over 260,000 items to veterans and families here in Arizona. Last year Bridging began the Veterans Furniture Project to engage at risk veterans in woodworking. A fun project we engage veterans in is making custom wood pens on a lathe - more on our website. We have 2 needs immediate needs:
1). Charity of Choice if you are looking for a nonprofit that is local, high impact and receives no government funding for your office/business to adopt - you have found it. We need help with marketing and raising money to continue our awesome services.
2). We are expanding our Board of Directors and are looking for upper management, CEO's and retired professionals who want to make a difference. Currently the Board of Directors meet 8-10 times per year.
