Shoe collection at the Mini

Changing Footprints is a Central Indiana based non-profit which collects, sorts, and donates shoes to local agencies such as Wheeler Mission, Dress For Success, Coburn Safe Place, Catholic Charities, and others, to help them help others. Every year, more than 15,000 pairs of shoes are collected by individuals, organizations, and stores and taken to our sorting room at 9302 N. Meridian. Organizations come and sort the shoes during 1 1/2 - 2 hour sessions. We make a real difference in the lives of our youth by giving them a HANDS ON opportunity to make a difference. Each sorter will inspect, pair, and box 100 pairs of shoes or more by the end of their session - and those 100 pairs of shoes will end up right here in Indianapolis on the feet of those in need.

We need a self-starter who would enjoy creating a program to identify church youth groups who would like to participate; contacting those groups, and coordinating the sorting sessions with our staff. If they wish, this person or persons (get a partner!) can learn the sorting and lead sorting sessions themselves.

You will get all the support you need; can spend just a little bit of time each week, as time allows, or really jump into it. If you like making decisions, let's talk! Drop me an email and give me your phone number. Bob
