Volunteers must commit to two days per week (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) from 3:15 to 5:15 PM. The six-week session begins Monday, October 10 and ends Thursday, November 17.
Kings County Tennis League (KCTL) is a 501c3 nonprofit organization that uses tennis as an instrument for youth development and community building in underserved Brooklyn neighborhoods.
Since 2010, KCTL has brought tennis and life skills programming directly to children in NYCHA public housing developments in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn. Until now, the program has only operated from May through October on Saturdays. Unlike other sports nonprofits, KCTL literally brings the game within footsteps of the kids' homes using portable nets, balls, racquets, and other equipment. As of 2016, KCTL reached over 200 youth participants across five public housing development sites.
To volunteer with KCTL, fill out a registration form at kingscountytennisleague.org/volunteer/ .
