What better way of starting the New Year with giving back? We are looking for groups of volunteers to come out and help us get our back warehouse ready for the grand opening. With this new addition to our ReStore we will be able to generate more income to go straight to our affordable housing program! We will not be able to meet our grand opening deadline without the help of Volunteers! We are looking for volunteers (especially groups) to help us paint, merchandise, break up old furniture with sledge hammers, set up racking and much more! These community service hours are perfect for anyone who has requirements for high school, college, work, or just want to give back to their community! If you are interested, please let me know as soon as possible! Any little bit helps! I hope to see you soon!

Mission Statement

The vision of Habitat for Humanity of Burlington County and Greater Trenton Princeton is to empower families by securing their own homes, transform neighborhoods, improve the quality of life in the communities we serve, and positively affect the lives of partner families, volunteers, and others that come in contact with Habitat.

Description

Habitat for Humanity Burlington County and Greater Trenton-Princeton was formed in 1987 as an outgrowth of a United Way housing force. HFHBCGTP is an Ecumenical Christian housing ministry open to all. HFHBC builds new and rehabilitated homes throughout the year. The homes are sold at no profit with no interest on the mortgage. We give priority to families with young children and to projects that are expected to stabilize existing neighborhoods.

The ReStore is a retail opperation that supports the affordable hosing program. The ReStore resells new and used items to the general public at 50-75% off retail price. The ReStore is a green alternative; the store helps to divert 1,000 of tons of materials from landvilles each year. We couldnt do what we do without our volunteers.
