We are the original Southern California Golden Retriever Rescue and we need fabulous volunteers!
We save over 400 Goldens a year! It's an hour or two a week - we'll give you training and you'll be part of something really special! We need folks for in home interviews with prospective adopters mainly (they take about 20 minutes or so), but have lots of other areas we need help in!
We are not a shelter and all our dogs live in foster homes, as such there is no position for dog walking or grooming.
You do need to be 18, and this is not a temporary volunteer position.

Mission Statement
Our mission is to find loving, lifetime homes for all Southern California Golden Retrievers in need, regardless of conditions or circumstances. We will always strive to heal the sick and injured, rehabilitate the neglected and abused, and nurture the aged and unwanted until we find the perfect family who will shower them with unconditional love. Our vision is to build a refuge - a sanctuary - to serve as a halfway house where each of our beloved Goldens can rest and recuperate, prior to being placed with a foster or permanent family and moving on in their new lives.
Description
Our volunteers are the heart and soul of our organization. There are many ways to help, including: monitoring shelters; transporting, fostering, or representing dogs; interviewing applicants in their homes; participating in adoption events; fundraising; administration; and website development and maintenance.
