The Latimer House

Do you enjoy history? Do you enjoy sharing it with others? Would you like to learn more about Wilmington’s history? You have found a perfect niche at the Latimer House in downtown Wilmington.

One of three Wilmington historic homes open for public tours, the Latimer House is fully furnished with period antiques and vintage clothing, offering a snapshot of life from the mid 19th century into the 20th century.

We have a variety of volunteer opportunities:

  • House Tour Docents
  • Walking Tour Guides
  • Children’s Program Assistants
  • Special Event Hosts and Hostesses
  • Research Assistants
  • Computer Technicians
  • Garden Committee

We have individualized training programs for our docents and guides, and we are happy to work with your schedule - weekly, bi-weekly or occasionally. We hope you will share your interests and your skills!

Call our Volunteer Coordinator (910-599-4078) or visit the website - www.lcfhs.org; you will hear back from us promptly.
