  2. Wednesday Mid Day Cuddler (12-2 pm). Duties include light cleaning if needed. Allowing the cats out to play and socialize. Some potential adopters do visit during this time.
  3. Saturday evening cleaning/kitty cuddler: TO START JULY 3RD: Duties include feeding, scooping litterboxes, cleaning cages and allowing the cats to play and socialize (times are flexible)

  1. Weekend Adoption Hours Counselors: Shifts are Saturday and Sunday from 12 to 2 and 2 to 4. All we ask is that you love kitties and be reliable and responsible

Fill In's/Back Ups- We always need volunteers who can be "on call" should a volunteer have to call out sick, get called into work etc

About new beginnings for animals

Mission Statement

Located in the Mission Viejo/Aliso Viejo area of Orange County, we are a non-profit, charitable organization dedicated to rescuing animals from shelters. We give the rescued animal appropriate immunizations, alter them as necessary, validate their temperament and socialization abilities and make them available for adoption.

Our goal is to save an animal from euthanasia and to place it in a new, loving home which will be a beneficial, nurturing, and symbiotic environment for both the saved pet and its new owners.

We rescue and adopt out dogs, both large and small, puppies, cats, and kittens.

New Beginnings does not have salaried employees - we rely solely on volunteers to support our rescue activities. We are always looking for new members to join our organization The following are some of the areas where help is needed:

Immediate Kitty Volunteer Shift Openings:

Wednesday Mid Day Kitty Cuddler - This gives the kitties some much needed extra time out of the cage to stretch and get socialization and TLC.

Wednesday PM Kitty Cuddler- This gives the kitties some much needed extra time out of the cage to stretch and get socialization and TLC.

General Volunteer Opportunities

Dog and Cat adoption Days - Help us show our animals at weekend adoption
events - 3 to 4 hours.

Cat Handlers - Morning and evening shifts available. Our cat volunteers clean
the cages, feed the cats, and spend time playing and socializing with them.

Kitty Cuddling shifts also available. This gives the kitties some much needed extra time out of the cage to stretch and get socialization and TLC.

Fundraising Activities - We have various fundraisers throughout the year to
help raise money for our rescued animals. We rely on volunteers to make these
events possible.

We offer flexible shifts on weekends and weekdays, days and nights, to accommodate individual needs. Our rescue group is located in South Orange County. We ask that all of our volunteers have their own transportation and must be over the age of 18, unless accompanied by their parents. Click here to fill out an online Volunteer Application.

We'll work with your schedule.
