About

Mentors are needed in several programs serving youth at the Kitsap County Juvenile Department. Positions include detention assistants, intake monitors, community diversion board members, offender unit mentors and probation assistants. Mentors act as positive role models, help youth set goals and empower them to recognize their individual talents. Volunteers receive training and support needed to build positive relationships with youth.

Must pass a criminal background check, maintain confidentiality, and have reliable transportation.
