Foothills Alliance Sexual Trauma Center (covers both Anderson and Oconee counties) is in need of volunteers to answer calls for a 24-hour hotline. This hotline serves survivors of all sexual trauma, such as sexual assault and sexual abuse. Volunteers will also accompany survivors of sexaul violence to the emergency room after a recent assault. A six day training is required. Volunteers are asked to cover 3 days out of a month to be on call. (Training is provided).

To provide prevention, intervention, and support services to abused children and adults in Anderson and Oconee counties; and to serve as their advocates in our community.
Description
Includes Foothills Rape Crisis Center, Foothills Child Advocacy Center, and Foothills Prevent Child Abuse. Provides free services to survivors of sexual assault and their families through 24-hour crisis line and hospital response, provides professional counseling services free of charge, educates the community about sexual assault issues, works to prevent child abuse through parent support groups, provides specialized services to sexually abused children through the Child Advocacy Center. All services are provided free of charge.
