Do you enjoy meeting new people? Help individuals with Alzheimer's, and related dementia, and their families learn about the no-cost programs and services that are provided by Alzheimer's Orange County. As a Community Outreach Volunteer you will represent Alzheimer’s Orange County at Health and Wellness fairs and community events to provide materials and education resources and to help raise public awareness.

We provide the training to help you interact with individuals seeking assistance. Volunteers should have good interpersonal skills, reliable transportation and must be 18+ years of age. Requirements: Orientation and training, online HIPAA course and background check.

Potential volunteers are asked to commit to at least one event per month for a period of 12 months. Events are generally scheduled mid-week between 7AM and 8PM and on weekends. Events average 3 - 4 hours in length and are scheduled throughout Orange County. This is a very flexible position, volunteers choose the events they would like to attend based on their schedule.

The Alzheimer's Orange County is a non-profit agency. We are funded through personal donations, grants, fundraisers and donations from large corporations. Alzheimer's Orange County provides support, information and education to Alzheimer's individuals and their families, friends and co-workers.
