MOW Volunteers deliver kosher meals to residents of Montgomery County, MD who are over 60, homebound, unable to get out to do their own shopping or cooking, and not living with someone who is able to do the shopping and cooking for them. Meals are picked up at the Hebrew Home on Montrose Road in Rockville. Volunteers deliver one day each week, Monday through Friday between the hours of 9:00am and 12:00pm. (no weekends)
Volunteer must be comfortable riding in elevatorsin order to reach clients living in large apartment buildings. Required.
All volunteers must meet for short in-person interview, complete reference & background checks, and complete short online HIPAA course.

For more than 120 years, the Jewish Social Service Agency (JSSA) has been helping individuals and families across the Washington metro area meet emotional, social, and physical challenges. JSSA provides services and support to more than 30,000 individuals and families annually through a wide range of counseling, education, specialized employment services, in-home care, hospice, senior care-management, and social services.
