The Sarah Lynn Strohman Foundation is a 501c3 nonprofit whose mission is to help individuals with special needs. One of our programs is the Social Education Program which holds classes on gardening and art. We are in need of an individual in the Central PA area who can coordinate evening or weekend classes for adult individuals with special needs. This opportunity does not involve teaching but setting up dates, coordinating with the teacher and volunteers and taking registration. Gardening classes are normally held 2 times per year and art classes are based on availability of everyone. Please contact us only if you have the time to help us.

Description

The Sarah Lynn Strohman Foundation was formed in September 2008 to help families who have dependants with special needs in order to ensure they have the support needed in their everyday lives. Some of our endeavors include donating Elmo's to emergency first responders and hospitals to give children in a crisis something to hold on to; providing scholarships to help families and individuals with necessities and respite care; linking individuals with special needs to social opportunities in the community; increasing our programs to include social and support areas for individuals.
