Job Description

We are looking for an experienced grant/proposal writer that can help identify funding opportunities. You will play the primary role for grant and proposal management for the company, working very independently but leveraging internal experts to draft your response. We are looking for someone exceptionally organized that loves writing and wants to have an impact. We are a growing company and are looking for a Grant & Proposal Writer that can grow with us.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Research opportunities for grants
  • Research opportunities for awards and recognition for the work that Knowledge Is Key, Inc. does
  • Establish and maintain a grant schedule, keeping on top of the various timelines
  • Collect information, interview stakeholders, draft grant application, persuasively communicating our mission and offerings to potential funders
  • Develop and maintain a proposal/grant kit of standard language & documents to make applying for grants and proposals easier

REQUIREMENTS

  • Strong written communication skills with a focus on persuasive writing and detailed copyediting
  • Strong research skills and ability to dig deep to find opportunities
  • Very organized with strong project management skills to be able to track and meet various hard deadlines
  • Strong verbal and interviewing skills
  • Experience with writing and managing the grant/proposal process
  • Personal values that align with company mission and values
  • Resourceful with a strong understanding of business acumen
  • Ability to work successfully in a team and independently, and comfortable in very fast-paced and growing environments
  • Must attend approximately 3 meetings annually, with additional meetings as needed
  • Additional hours outside of meetings may be required to fulfill member responsibilities
