We are a registered 501(c)3 public non-profit organization for equine welfare. We serve as an Adoptions Partner with Ventura, Santa Barbara, San Bernadino, & Los Angeles County Animal Shelters. We are a member of the Humane Society of the United States Safe Stalls Network Program & The Homes For Horses Coalition, 2 major national organizations for equine welfare. We are looking for Volunteers over the age of 18 to serve as member supporters, direct horse care volunteers, advanced rehabilitation horse care volunteers, & foster caregivers / adoptions ambassadors. We are also looking for pro-bono professional service volunteers in the areas of horse training, farrier care, veterinary & dental care, equine bodywork care, marketing, fundraising, grant writing, & business development. Our horses are located in Simi Valley, Valencia, Warner Springs, & Fillmore, CA. Our staff development trainings and events happen in Simi Valley most of the time.

Mission Statement
Animal Guardians Horse Rescue, Inc. provides sanctuary to local senior equines in need, while connecting our Southern California community through purpose and service.
Description
We are a small 501(c)3 public non-profit organization for equine sanctuary and community service in Simi Valley, CA. All equines are fostered and boarded privately locally. We are a member of The Homes For Horses Coalition, the HSUS Safe Stalls Network, the HSUS Fund For Animals Forever Foundation Training Program, the ASPCA Horse Action Team, & a Parelli Foundation Grant Recipient. We are an Adoptions Partner with Ventura, L.A., Santa Barbara, San Bernadino County Animal Services / ACC. We are beginning a new EAL Program called Horse Powered Reading for summer enrichment for youth in our community.
