We have finally finished building our cultural center, and are now looking for volunteers to come and work with the children. Come help us with activities, bring new experiences, and share love with these children. Our hope is to eventually bring children from all over the world together at centers like this one.
GDL is a small local charity based in Morro de São Paulo village on the island of Tinharé. We are looking for volunteers to help us run a cultural centre. The building has already been built. it is a ecological earth-ship style structure.
Then once the centre is built we will need organisers, fund raisers, marketing help, English and Portuguese teachers, Arts and Crafts, administrators as this is a new venture for us.
We can offer help in finding cheap accommodation and the occasional capoeira lesson. You will live in beautiful Morro Sao Paolo and be part of a team of mainly young and enthusiastic volunteers from many countries.Help us to grow this Cultural centre.

Our mission is to help underprivileged children gain self-sufficiency and self-esteem. We are targeting at risk youth between the ages of 6 and 17. We will decrease violence in the streets and increase positive and clean communities through the teaching of martial arts, visual arts, music, dance, and academics.
