This activity is designed to replicate the format of American Idol. It is a panel interview activity with a group of Job Readiness Workshop participant interviewees and a panel of 2-4 volunteer interviewers. Each volunteer interview completes a score sheet for each interviewee and gives productive feedback to the interviewee immediately after the interview. The ultimate goal is for the Job Readiness Workshop Participants to experience panel interviewing and have another mock interview experience.
Every other Wednesday, 1:30 - 3:00 p.m. (1-3 volunteers)
All volunteers will complete an application and should ideally have enough work experience to be able to share some "words-of-wisdom" with the participants. Volunteers can help on a one time or recurring basis, though we do encourage new volunteers to observe a session at least once to become familiar with the role.
