About

Circles Utah Valley is seeking 30 volunteers, who have seasoned family or professional experience, to befriend individuals who are working to overcome poverty. These volunteers, called Allies, create a "circle" of friendship and support for those who desire to change their situation. Allies meet with Circles participants each week to have dinner (Provo:Tuesdays 5:45-8:00pm or Orem:Wednesdays 5:45-8:00pm) and help the participants reach their goals of becoming self-reliant.

As an Ally you will be asked to:

* Submit and pass a criminal background check

* Make a 12-18 month commitment to help an assigned family overcome poverty

* Attend weekly dinners to encourage participants as they work to achieve their goals

* Offer emotional support as needed

The main role of an Ally is to offer unconditional love and support, especially in times of crisis. Dinner and childcare are provided to all volunteers and their families each week. To become an Ally contact:
