The Kootenai Health Auxiliary is made up of nearly 200 men and women, who provide 15 different services to hospital patients, their family members and staff. An autonomous organization, managed and operated by an elected board of officers, the Kootenai Health Auxiliary has been providing services to the hospital since it's founding in 1967. In addition to these services, the Auxiliary owns and operates the Kootenai Medical Center Gift Shop, located in the ground floor, main lobby. With daily hours, the Gift Shop offers flowers, cards, promotional items, novelties and candy and snacks. With the money raised from the Kootenai Medical Center Gift Shop, the Auxiliary supports the mission of the hospital with the purchase of needed equipment, technology, and other contributions.

Description
Kootenai Health provides a comprehensive range of medical services to patients in north Idaho, eastern Washington, Montana and the Inland Northwest at several facility locations. The main Kootenai Health campus is located in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho and includes a 254-bed community-owned hospital, and a wide range of physician clinics including a family physician residency program. Kootenai Health repeatedly earns regional and national recognition and is a Magnet facility.
