A Volunteer is the first person a visitor meets when they come to the Arizona Capitol Museum. It is the Volunteer's goal to make guests feel welcome, provide them with needed information, and help ensure their experience at the Capitol is enjoyable and productive. Visitors come from all over the world, and it is a great opportunity to meet interesting people and volunteer in a stimulating environment.
- Welcome and provide orientation to visitors of the museum and Capitol grounds (let them know where exhibits are, tell them about the Capitol, etc.)
- Inform Museum Staff when tours & appointments have arrived
- Keep a log of visitors, where they come from; i.e. in state, out of state, etc.
- Provide the public with directions to different agencies, conference rooms, dining halls, as well as attractions in the immediate area such as restaurants, shops and other tourist attractions.
