Point-in-Time Homeless Count for Chester County

About the homeless street count:

The Department of Community Development’s (DCD) staff and a corps of trained volunteers canvass predetermined locations in Chester County, looking for and collecting data on unsheltered homeless individuals and families. Volunteers are required to participate in a training webinar which takes place on Monday, January 18, 2016, at 2:00pm for Team Leaders and 3:00pm for Team Members.

Volunteers who indicate that they would like to count and survey from 2:30-3:00am on January 28 will return to any areas where possible evidence (if found) of an individual experiencing homelessness was found so that any individual(s) who may have been missed earlier in the night is/are included in the Count.

  • Helping to ensure that individuals who are experiencing homelessness receive the services that they need
