Become a Homework Helper!
The Martin County Library System is in need of committed volunteers looking to make a difference in the community by investing in students’ education; specifically with math skills. If you are a retired educator or college student majoring in Education, or relate well to children and desire to inspire learning, this is the position for you. Homework Helpers provide a safe and welcoming learning environment with one-on-one appointment based homework assistance to students in grades K-12 during after school hours. You will be equipped with all necessary library resources and technology. Volunteers serve a minimum of two hours per week. Completion of an interview and background screening is required. For more information please contact Terry Dick, Volunteer Manager at 219-4906 or tdick@martin.fl.us
