Finish The Ride
Excited participants getting ready to roll!

Come out and help at our fun event Finish The Ride Santa Clarita!

We need your help at our cycling Pit Stops. These volunteers have experience with bicycle upkeeping and fixing and tend to go to our four pit stops with a table, chairs and refreshments and assist with any bicycle needs. You do not need to be an expert at bicycle fixing to be part of this team. You can also assist at each pit stop with passing out food and beverages to our hungry and thirsty participants on the bike routes.

Meet up for pit stop crews is at 6:00 am to ensure everyone has their correct pit stop location and everything they need.

When you volunteer to make Finish The Ride Santa Clarita a success, you are rewarded in so many ways. The sun shines brightly on this fun cycling event, and you will look amazing in our sweet souvenir t-shirts while helping our amazing athletes prove to themselves and the world that they NEVER GIVE UP! As you know, your help is so important to advancing our mission of making streets safer as well as giving our participants a great experience as they bike and run along the Heritage Park in Santa Clarita.

Volunteers receive complementary t-shirts, food, and in some cases, FREE tickets to the event. Ask me how!

The event supports Streets Are For Everyone (SAFE), a non-profit organization dedicated to improving street safety in southern CA as well as providing aid to victims and families affected by traffic collisions.

About Streets Are For Everyone

4470 Sunset Blvd., Suite 107-435, Los Angeles, CA 90027, US

Mission Statement

Streets Are For Everyone (SAFE) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization founded in January 2014. Streets Are For Everyone (SAFE) aims to improve the quality of life for pedestrians, bicyclists and drivers alike by working to reduce traffic caused fatalities to Zero. SAFE addresses the problem in a holistic fashion through direct education, broad awareness campaigns, partnerships, community outreach, policy and legislation, support for those impacted and other proven strategies.

Dedicated SAFE staff and volunteers with a combined 75 years of experience in the non-profit sector have, in the short time since establishment, changed the face of traffic safety.

  1. Almost 100 million people reached through mass media and social media with the message that hit and run crimes are no longer acceptable.
  2. The first ever hit and run alert system implemented in Los Angeles.
  3. The first ever standing rewards program in L.A. to catch hit and run criminals.
  4. The first state law specifically addressing hit and run crimes, Damian’s Law.
  5. The first ever billboards in L.A. specifically addressing hit and run crimes.

Most importantly, per LAPD statistics, hit and run crimes have dropped by 16% in the last year.

In recognition of their work, SAFE has been honored with the Alex Baum Award by LA County Bicycle Coalition, the Deborah Murphy Award for Excellence in Advocacy by Streetsblog LA as well as commendations and recognition from US congressmen, CA State Assemblyman and LA City Councilmen.
