The exclusive mission of Companion Parrots Re-homed is to accept companion parrots from unwanted, emergency or crisis situations throughout the Greater Charlotte, North Carolina, area and to facilitate through training and education, new adoptive homes for these sensitive and intelligent birds.
Companion Parrots Re-homed accepts surrendered or found parrots and places them up for adoption after they have been checked by a vet and placed gone through a 30 day quarantine period. The birds live at Parrot Univerity until adopted. Potential adopters must take educational classes in parrot care and agree to a home visit before an adoption can take place.
