Loaves, Fishes, & Computers (LFC) helps low-income families, seniors, veterans, people with disabilities and non-profit organizations obtain dependable computers and inexpensive technical support. LFC is soliciting applications for the position of Computer and Equipment Processor Technician. This is a great opportunity to give back, brush up on your skills, or perhaps gained that hands on experience that employers are looking for.

LFC is in search of a Computer and Equipment Processor Technician who can volunteer.

Location: Salinas

Salary: Volunteer

Responsibilities:

• Processing and cleaning of equipment that has been donated (Computers. Mice. Keyboards. Screens. Etc.)

• Test equipment; monitors, keyboards, and mice.

• Maintain an accurate inventory of equipment that’s ready for sale.

• Maintain a clean and organize backroom processing area

• Train new volunteers in equipment processing duties

• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Must have a positive attitude and be friendly

• Have the ability to lead groups of people

• A successful applicant will have excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.

• Previous experience in back room processing is helpful but not necessary.

• All prospective LFC Volunteers shall fill out a Volunteer Application and answer the Have you ever been convicted of a criminal offense (felony or misdemeanor)? question.

• (Note: No applicant will be denied solely on the grounds of conviction of a criminal offense. The date of the offense, the nature of the offense, including any significant details that affect the description of the event, and the surrounding circumstances and the relevance of the offense to the position(s) applied for may, however, be considered.)

Hours: Flexible part-time position 12-16 hrs/week
