Job Title: Lead Technical Support Technician, Job Type: Volunteer

Loaves, Fishes, & Computers (LFC) helps low-income families and individuals obtain dependable computers and inexpensive technical support. LFC is currently looking for caring individuals with computer repair experience looking to help their community. This is a great opportunity to give back, brush up on your skills, or perhaps gained that hands on experience that employers are looking for.

LFC is in search of part-time lead technicians that can commit.

Location: Salinas

Salary: Volunteer Position

Responsibilities:

• Diagnosing computer related problems.

• Ensuring repair forms are properly filled out.

• Removing Hard Drives from donated computers and ensuring they are properly stored for cleaning.

• Following computer build sheet, install required equipment.

• Utilizing the local server to install software to new computer systems

• Testing Hardware; Printers Speakers, etc.

• Following quality control procedures in order to complete the computer-refurbishing process.

• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• S ome College preferred but not required.

• A+ Certified (or in process of becoming A+ Certified) preferred but not required

• Previous floor/shop manager experience preferred but not required

• A successful applicant will have excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills and the ability to handle confidential matters with sensitivity and discretion, and a high level of maturity.

• A general understanding of Windows 7

• All prospective LFC Volunteers shall fill out the following on LFC’s Volunteer Application, Have you ever been convicted of a criminal offense (felony or misdemeanor)?

Hours: Flexible part-time position 12 hrs/week
