You can help clients with cancer improve self-image through beauty techniques designed to overcome the particular appearance-related effects of chemotherapy and radiation treatments. Upbeat, compassionate volunteer cosmetologists present make-up, skin and nail care tips, and also demonstrate how to disguise hair loss using wigs, turbans and scarves. The women who attend find the supportive group dynamics to be a bonus in addition to the beauty techniques they learn.

Description
The Center provides free services and items to individuals affected by cancer and their families. Services include: transportation to and from appointments, assistance finding treatment, salon services, support groups, education. Items include: wigs, bras,prosthetics, scarves, hats, robes, nightgowns, slippers, sheets, blankets,pillows, books, magazines, personal hygiene products, makeup and nutritional items.
