Colusa County Free Library Literacy Program

Logo

One in three Colusa County residents cannot read and write sufficiently in English to carry out day-to-day activities at work and home. Adult literacy tutors provide one-on-one tutoring to adults in their community. Tutors assist adult learners in meeting their personal reading and writing goals such as reading to their children, completing a written driver license exam, creating a resume, or acquiring new computer skills.

We currently have adults in Colusa waiting for a tutor.

No previous experience necessary, just a desire to help someone else! Training, support and materials are provided by Literacy Program staff. Option to tutor in-person or virtually!

The Literacy Program is a free service of the Colusa County Free Library.
