Houston Pets Alive! seeks dedicated cat lovers to help take care of cats and kittens at our catteries in partner pet stores, including:
Daily shifts:
9:30-11:30a; 5:30-7:30p
Locations:
PetSmart Dunvale - 8380 Westheimer, Houston, TX, 77063
PetSmart Copperfield - 7050 Highway 6 North, Houston, TX 77095
PetSmart Bunker Hill - 9718 Katy Fwy., Houston, TX 77055
Petco Westside - 10911 Westheimer Rd., Houston, TX 77042
Duties:
Feed cats and clean cat kennels (litter box, bedding and wipe down kennel)
Play with cats outside of cages - you’re their outlet for fun!
Monitor/report well-being and updates through Facebook group page
Speak to prospective adopters, connect with cats, and process adoption applications
Optional transport of kitties between other store locations

Mission Statement
To save the lives of at risk companion cats and dogs and find them loving homes
Description
We are not an ordinary rescue, the animals in our program have been passed over by other rescue groups and shelter adoption programs. Every day we receive a list of animals who are at risk of euthanasia and acting as a safety net for our municipal shelters, we save the animals who have no other options.
We know that rescuing animals is a community effort and with the help from our volunteers we save as many animals as we can.
We are committed to developing programs alongside our local shelters, working with volunteers from our communities, and we are dedicated to saving the lives that others won’t, and together, we will continue to work to save even more lives.
Here are ways to get involved:
- VOLUNTEER - From animal care to general office assistance, all departments at HPA! need your help
- FOSTER - Help us save lives by fostering animals until they find their forever families
- ADOPT - Provide an adorable animal with the loving home they deserve
- DONATE - Donate to HPA! to support our mission
