ORGANIZATION: Tutoring Plus of Cambridge

Do you have prior experience working with students who are neurodiverse and/or have specific learning needs (e.g. dyslexia, ADHD, etc.)?

This opportunity is to work with students in 4th -12th grade.
Each volunteer tutor is matched one-on-one with a student based on academic strengths and needs, as well as personality and interests. During the course of the school year, tutors in all programs establish a relationship with the student they work with on a regular basis.

Volunteers will receive training on how to engage with our students and build relationships with them that will have a lasting impact. Volunteers are paired with the same student each week for just an hour (6-7pm). Volunteers can choose the day of the week that works best for them (Monday-Thursday).

To apply, please complete our volunteer application which can be found at www.tutoringplus.org/volunteer. Once your application is received, you will be invited in for a brief informational interview and to complete necessary paperwork. All volunteers receive training and ongoing support from staff.

Please contact Justien Martin via email martin@tutoringplus.org with any questions or concerns, she will be happy to assist you!

We look forward to meeting you on the road to making sure that no student is left without a mentor!

Tutoring Plus is committed to recruiting volunteers who reflect the diversity of the communities we serve. People of color, LGBT+, bilingual candidates, and differently abled people are encouraged to apply. Volunteers will receive training on the volunteer tutor/mentor role, in addition to ongoing support from Tutoring Plus staff.
