Many members of our community are suffering from financial struggles due to the economic downturn brought on by the Covid-19 pandemic. Every week our Food Pantry has to close it's doors temporarily to accommodate our food deliveries. We need you! With the help of 3-5 volunteers every Wednesday, our 2 staff members will be able to serve customers in need more quickly. Join our staff at CEO on Wednesdays to help unload deliveries from the Regional Food Bank. Volunteers will help to lift and load 500-3000 lbs of dry, fresh and frozen goods and transport the items to the Food Pantry. Volunteers must be able to lift up to 50lbs. Once the truck is unloaded, volunteers will help to stock shelves and store items in refrigerators and freezers. All efforts to help with weekly deliveries allow us to serve more families; meaning more members of the community will be able to receive the food they need!

Mission Statement
Our Mission CEO creates partnerships and develops opportunities for social and economic growth and empowerment in individuals, families and communities.
Description
CEO is a non-profit Community Action Agency that serves the residents of Rensselaer County and the surrounding Capital Region. We serve as a conduit -- a way to connect people with resources related to employment, education, housing, youth programming, early childhood education, and daycare. When people are dealing with obstacles presented by poverty, they turn to CEO. Through the agency's centralized intake -- a one stop approach --individuals and families are considered for several services and programs simultaneously. CEO, the Board of Directors and our staff remain committed to advocating for a community that allows each individual to achieve economic independence.
