The Garden City Library is looking for detail oriented, self-motivated individuals to help shelve materials and straighten shelves. Shelvers must be able to alphabetize and order decimal numbers accurately. Shelvers must also be able to bend, kneel, climb on and off the step stool, push book carts, and lift up to 35 pounds. Training provided.
3 Shifts
- morning / 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM
- afternoon / 02:00 PM to 03:00 PM
- afternoon / 04:00 PM to 04:45 PM

Libraries offer a variety of skilled volunteer opportunities to make a meaningful contribution to library programs, operations, fundraising events and other community engagement functions. Skilled volunteers have opportunities to lead projects, work with teams of staff and volunteers, learn new skills, and have fun.
