Have you ever wanted to do something AMAZING to change the world but didn't know where to start? Here is an opportunity to help some wonderful people who have just moved to America learn how to speak English. The American Youth Literacy Foundation has teamed up with IHM Center for Literacy to help teach adults how to read and advance our mission to end the literacy crisis in America. IHM is a vibrant English as a Second Language school catering to adults from numerous countries who are here now and need to learn English. If you can imagine how the face of a student brightens the moment they begin to truly understand how to communicate, this is the moment and the feeling that you can help bring to your students when you volunteer as an English teacher. IHM Center for Literacy is a long established school and will train you and give you all the materials you need to be successful. All of this is completely FREE to you. You may already be a teacher, a retired teacher or someone who wants to learn a lifelong skill and make a real difference for real people in your community. Daytime AND nighttime classes available. Make new friends. Share your knowledge and skill. Have fun. We look forward to hearing from you. Contact Sister Sharon at 703-347-3732 or respond to this listing : )
