Driver for Trailer
9 people are interested
We need volunteers who have a truck and can pull our small trailer to move ladders and tools to various volunteer work sites on the north side of Indianapolis. NeighborLink Indy does free home repair, maintenance, and clean-up projects for low-income seniors and disabled homeowner. We help these good people stay safely in their own homes. The work schedule is flexible. We do group projects on Tuesdays and Thursdays and Saturday mornings. We need drivers who can sign up for one date every two months when you are available. Working with a partner - friend, relative, or coworker, would be ideal but not necessary.
Typical work would be picking up ladders at our storage area, transporting to a worksite where volunteers are painting, then coming back for the ladders and returning to storage a couple hours later. Other dates might involve bringing our NeighborLink trailer to a worksite so volunteers can load with branches or refuse, then pulling it to a recycle center for unloading.
You will be greatly benefiting senior and disabled homeowners who have no one else to turn to for help. We'll teach you the basics about what's needed if you have a pickup truck and are comfortable pulling a 12ft flatbed trailer. Please help if you can. You'll be doing a great kindness and we really need your help right now! Email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 317 286-2740 and ask for Terence or Jeanette. Thanks!
