Do you have some spare time during the day? Pathways to Compassion Hospice is looking for people who want to visit hospice patients. Only requirement is enjoying visiting people. If you are compassionate and caring individual, you would make a great volunteer!

Daytime availability is helpful for patients needing extra companionship as well as providing respite for families who need to get out of the house for a few hours to do grocery shopping, etc.

Volunteer training and supervision are provided. Two Tuberculosis screenings (provided by Pathways to Compassion Hospice) need to be completed prior to visiting patients as well as a background check.

Mission Statement

The mission of Pathways to Compassion Hospice is to affirm life during its final stages by providing holistic compassionate care to patients and their families; by providing access to hospice care for under-served or difficult to serve populations; by wise and efficient use of available resources, and by educating the community.

Description

Hospice Philosophy Hospice provides palliative support and care for persons in the last phases of incurable disease so that they may live as fully and as comfortable as possible.
