Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Shared Harvest. For more information or to register to volunteer, please visit our website, www.sharedharvest.org

This activity is an assembly line of packing boxes. Each person will take 1-2 items to pack in the box down the line for our Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP). We will play music and make it fun; the 2 hours will fly by fast! We will box up as many pallets of Senior boxes as we can. This is a great event to sign up your Group or Corp. Team. We can accommodate groups of up to 15 for this activity right now.

CSFP provides nutritious supplemental food for persons who are over 60 years old, residing in Butler, Darke, Miami, Preble and Warren Counties and whose income is at or below 130% of the poverty level. We distribute 1,200 boxes each month containing 21 to 25 food items. This project's average recipient is 73 years old and tries to live on $800 a month. They depend on this box of food to help them afford to live independently and with dignity. Volunteers will pack boxes of food in preparation for monthly orders.

*Please note that we pack senior boxes based on inventory in our Distribution Center. We typically do this at the beginning of the month until we run out of supplies, then we switch to a different activity. If you would like to do this activity specifically, make sure you book your event the 1st week of the month.
