We are seeking volunteers for our workshops and mentors for our mentoring program!
Our Mentor Program aims to provide mentor services to youth ages 9-21. It is designed for youth who are overcoming stressors such as immigration status, poverty, discrimination, neglect, abuse, addictions and instability in their homes and school truancy in their lives.
Our program aims to encourage middle and high school youth to self-empower themselves towards their goals.
Our programs are held in Montgomery County (Gaithersburg, Germantown, Montgomery Village and Rockville), Maryland.

Gimie’s Organization for Youth’s mission is to empower youth through leadership in Montgomery County, Maryland.
Description
Gimie’s Organization for Youth (GOFY) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit established in 2015. We are foremost guided by social work principles and the social workers’ code of ethics. Like the mother of social work, Jane Addams, we also desire the help and support of our community and its members. Our efforts to gain insight from the community will include collaboration with local school districts, and also nongovernment and government agencies.
Our vision is to empower youth through interactive educational opportunities that will help them overcome their challenges and pave their way towards a successful future. Our programs include internships, peer mentoring, leadership training, community-based research projects, and career and self-development.
