ORGANIZATION: San Jose Public Library - Tully Community Branch Library

Do you like speaking? Meeting new people? Helping people build linguistic bridges?

The Tully Branch Library is looking for adult English/Spanish bilingual speakers willing to head a Spanish Conversation Club and commit to at least one hour a week for 6 months to a year.

Facilitators will guide discussions with library users, introduce Spanish words and phrases, and help maintain a friendly and welcoming environment.

La Biblioteca Tully está buscando adultos que son bilingües en inglés y español dedicado a dirigir un club de conversación en español y comprometerse por lo menos una hora a la semana por lo menos de 6 meses hasta un año.

Los facilitadores van a guiar discusiones los usuarios de la biblioteca, presentar palabras y frases en español y ayudar a mantener un ambiente agradable y acogedor.

Description

Public libraries in California seek to engage the talents, skills and commitment of volunteers to serve the communities' information and literacy needs. Libraries offer a variety of skilled volunteer opportunities to make a meaningful contribution to library programs, operations, fundraising events and other community engagement functions. Skilled volunteers have opportunities to lead projects, work with teams of staff and volunteers, learn new skills, and have fun.
