This is a hands-on job, and one of the most important roles at the ReStore. It's also one of the most fun! A Donations Processor goes through donations as they come in, making small repairs, cleaning, and pricing before the items go out on the floor.
A Donation Processor would work closely with a Sales Floor Associate in order to move product from the Processing Area to the floor. A Processor may also assist with receiving large donations as they come in or unloading items from our truck.
This job also includes recycling or disposing of items we cannot sell, and maintaining order of the loading dock, recieving area and workbench.
Carpentry or repair skills are not required! Small groups are great for this volunteer opportunity.

Description
Habitat ReStore accepts donations of overstocked, secondhand, gently used, discontinued, and salvageable building materials from manufacturers, stores, contractors, and individuals. Not only does this help divert reusable material from the landfill, but it provides customers with affordable home-improvement materials and furniture. Some donations are used directly in builds to help Habitat for Humanity build simple, decent, affordable housing for low-income families. All proceeds help finance Habitat for Humanity building and repair projects.
