The Milwaukee Art Museum is looking for friendly and responsive people who enjoy art and working with the public to join our vibrant community. Volunteers will welcome Museum visitors at entrances, offer navigational assistance, and general information on the Museum. After an orientation, volunteers are asked to work a minimum of 4-6 hours per month from Monday through Sunday.

Specifically, the Permanent Collection Attendant welcomes visitors, uses a clicker to count the number of visitors entering the exhibition, and ensures the safety of the artwork by reminding visitors of Museum rules.

The typical shifts are:

  • 10 am to 1 pm
  • 1 pm to 3 pm
  • 3 pm to 5 pm
  • 5 pm to 8 pm (only on Fridays)
