Kingsbrook is seeking volunteers with excellent communication skills to help enroll our patients in the Patient Portal, Kingsbrook's Electronic Health Record. You will interact with patients and families, educating on the benefits and importance of access to the electronic health record. You will work side by side and be supported by the Patient Portal Analyst.

Late afternoon/early evening availability is required.

Description

Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center, located in the East Flatbush section of Central Brooklyn, was founded in 1925 as a chronic care facility to serve the then Jewish Community within a cultural context. As the community has evolved and diversified, Kingsbrook has expanded its services and programs, to meet the needs of the large culturally diverse communities that it now serves.

Kingsbrook is an 864-bed medical training institution, comprised of a 326-bed acute care hospital and a 538-bed adult and pediatric skilled nursing long-term care facility. In addition to its celebrated David Minkin Rehabilitation Institute, Kingsbrook's Centers of Excellence include Brooklyn's only NYS licensed Traumatic Brain Injury and Coma Recovery Unit, and a Geriatric Inpatient Psychiatry service, a premiere program serving the mentally challenged elderly throughout the borough.
