What are you doing with that spare room this winter? Your spare bedroom, or even a closet or bathroom could be the difference between life and death now that it's getting cold. Would you consider fostering a cat or kittens in that room? Feline Urban Rescue and Rehab (FURR) is an all-volunteer animal rescue and we are always in need of foster homes to provide shelter, care and love to rescued cats and kittens.
Being a foster parent is one of the most rewarding experiences you can have. You'll be directly responsible for the health and well-being of creatures, that, in all likelihood would not have survived the winter without your help. Nursing rescued animals to health and seeing them find wonderful furrever homes is a priceless experience! It can also be an incredible learning/teaching opportunity for your family.
It is also a great responsibility and requires the most time and commitment of all of our volunteer roles. FURR offers a dedicated, talented and experienced group of foster parents that will lend support and guidance. FURR also pays our partner vets directly for all medical expenses (spay/neuter, vaccines, medical treatment). Our foster coordinator will work with you to balance your level of commitment, ability and previous experience to match you with foster cats/kittens that are suitable for your particular situation.
