If you're a fan of Jane Austen, we have a unique volunteer opportunity. On SUNDAY, DECEMBER 8, the Sacramento Public Library will host its JANE AUSTEN CELEBRATION featuring bestselling historical romance author Julia Quinn.

We are seeking 6 volunteers. You'll need to arrive at the CENTRAL Library at 12:00 and stay until 4:00 pm. Here are the volunteer activities:

  • Check in pre-registered guests
  • Set up and clean up
  • Move furniture (mainly chairs) prior to dancing and setting up autograph area
  • Photo helper (using attendees phone to take pictures)
  • Assist with book signing

While volunteering you will be able to enjoy the event that includes tea and sweet treats plus English Country dancing to live music.

This is an opportunity for you to wear a Regency-period costume as many of the attendees will be doing. Feel free to dress up and have fun.

Parking downtown is free on Sundays.
