ORGANIZATION: Catholic Charities of Santa Clara County

RECEPTION DESK VOLUNTEER

Responsibilities: Welcome and signing in Center members and guests, collect and scan membership cards into the AQWARDS system, Scan or copy documents per requests of senior and/or staff; answer and forward phone calls.

Requirements: Competency in basic computer skills to assist seniors with common questions regarding their phones, tablets and computers. Patient, excellent communication skills.

Fingerprint/background clearance, maintain bi-yearly TB skin test, satisfactory completion of on-site volunteer training

Dates/Times: one day per week, 4 hours each day (mornings 9 - 1:00PM most needed) x5 volunteers needed.

Length of appointment: 3 months, 6 months, 12 months or by semester as determined and agreed upon between volunteer and program supervisor.

Minimum age: 18
